Ugh, Blackhawks, How Could You!?!?!
How could the Blackhawks trade James Wisniewski??? Are they out of their minds?? And how low that poor Wiz had to hear it from a Canadian radio station first that he was out!
Well Wiz, sorry the Blackhawks organization treated you so shabbily. Know this if nothing else: Chicagoans love you and will miss you something fierce.

I keep hearing over and over that this is a business. Blah blah blah. Bad trade, that’s what this was.

Yes, and what did we get in return? Pahlsson is in his thirties, he’s on IR with some sickness, he won’t be good to go for some time yet, and he’s to replace Sharpie? Well, Sharpie’s on IR too! So, what’s the point? Pahlsson is supposed to usher us into the playoffs? Yeah, good luck with that!
Here’s the thing. For the salaries that Brian Campbell and Cristobal Huet are commanding, we could have had a *real* centerman and a reliable goal tender. These are the players that are excess baggage. Yet they toss the one defenseman who’s got the brawn and the ability to actually check someone? When has soupy ever checked anyone? He’s fast, sure, but what does he do once he gets there?
And I’m all for experience, but if Pahlsson was only meant to get us to and through the playoffs, well, how well is he going to do coming off an illness? And Dale Tallon can prattle on all he wants about this being a business, and get all the players to toe that line, but in the end, it will be a business too when he gets his walking papers. Yeah, I didn’t see Dale in the hallway seeing Wiz out the door. Guess Dale left that up to the lackeys. All in all, this was BAD business and if it comes back to bite the Blackhawks organization in the ass, well, they deserve it. Don’t sit there and propagandize about how the Hawks are one big happy family and then treat people like shit. Which is it, a business or a family? Because I would never treat a member of my family as poorly as Wiz got treated this week.
It’s stupid decisions like the Cubs letting go of DeRosa and keeping Fukedome that will keep me from watching Cubs games this year. The Blackhawks are no different if they keep making utterly stupid decisions like these in the future. My patience is wearing thin.
