Hawks Hockey Hoiden

Was anyone else freaking out yesterday after Chicago Bears’ Johnny Knox took that horrendous hit from Seattle Seahawks’ defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove in yesterday’s Bears/Seahawks game?  And how awful that the Seahawks were high-fiving each other for what looked like a career-ending hit on Knox! Well after the Seahawks defense had left the field and Knox was lying there near motionless, the Seahawks had a few rounds of self-congratulation that were wildly inappropriate and even callous. A little over a week ago, the Chicago Bears organization quipped that they would not “send a limo into Chicago to pick up Donovan McNabb or a private jet to Mississippi for Brett Favre.” Judging from that quote, I guess the Bears’ front office meant that they didn’t want any high-dollar, prima donna quarterbacks and would instead cultivate second-, third-, and fourth-string quarterbacks, which was supposed to be better somehow.  Yeah, not so much.
